Deepsea Diva OTK~~

The new cards in the sea serpent structure deck totally inviting more otks to this meta. Currently, I found out 1, more will be posted if found. Let me introduce the new cards needed for the combo:

Atlantean Marksman

Atk 1400/ Def 0

When this card inflicts Battle Damage to your opponent: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 or lower Sea Serpent-Type "Atlantean" monster, except "Atlantean Marksman", from your Deck. When this card is Tributed for the activation of a WATER monster's effect: Target 1 Set card your opponent controls; destroy that target.

Atlantean Armed Soldier

Atk 0/ Def 1600

While this card is face-up on the field, once per turn during your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon a Level 4 or lower Sea Serpent-Type monster in addition to your Normal Summon or Set. (You can only gain this effect once per turn.) When this card is sent to the Graveyard for the activation of a WATER monster's effect: Target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; destroy that target

Atlantean Assault Trooper

Atk 1400/ Def 0

If you control another face-up Fish, Sea Serpent, or Aqua-Type monster, this card gains 800 ATK.

I'm sure alot of people threw away assault trooper when opening REDU, pick up from ur rubbish bin and polish it now! lolz~ Prepare to grab 3 SD when it comes out. Hmm, I guess recently I'm addicted to OTKs which I keep showing every possible OTKs lolol, OTK-Whore~~ If found any other ways to OTK you can post here. No retarded comments about "Oh I veiler you, your combo stops" or "gorz you will die", if one were to be afraid of those just quit YGO then~ Thats all! Have fun! :D

Tourney Report 28/04/12

Deck Used:

Swiss

Match 1: Vs. Kenny, Dark World - OO

Game 1: Stannon attack all the way.

Game 2: He start the game with prohibition declaring heat transmission. Then I set raigeki break and handmaiden during my turn. Next, he set a S/T and passed his turn. Back to my turn, I summon cannoneer, and he flipped torrential, handmaiden effect activates and then I rekindle and kill.

Match 2: Vs. Vishal, Machina Gadget - OXO

Game 1: Heat Tranmission + Rekindle

Game 2: Did some troll stuff and died.

Game 3: I flood my field with librarian, ancient flamvel god and brionac and attacked him till he was left with 400, then during his turn he made Big Eye with 2 fortress stole my 2900 flamvel god and clear my synchros, I then jumped gorz from gearframe's attack. During my turn, countdown 1 turn for gold sarco taking back rekindling. I drew heavy storm used it to clear his gearframe which was attached to fortress and a facedown card, attacked his big eye and passed. During his turn he clear my field with flamvel god and fortress and ended. I drew dark hole and added rekindle back to hand. Dark hole-d him and rekindle my ancient god back to kill.

Match 3: Vs. Shaun, Dark World - OO

Game 1: He dragged down me when I had only 1 hand, I chained maxx c and then his dragged fizzles. From there he went down slope

Game 2: He reckless greed "advance" drew 2 turns, but after that I made him bankrupt

Match 4: Wee Min, Inzektor - XOX

Game 1: Got controlled by dragonfly and lady bug

Game 2: Make a huge gap in advantage and the kill

Game 3: Sided only 1 transmigration prophecy in and then died ( Since I went up, and because I don't want him to know I side Shadow Imprisoning.)

Game 1: Controlled abit and then flood and kill.

Game 2: Got controlled by fortress and utopia

Game 3: Started the game with 2 Rekindling and 1 heat transmission, ended the game with 1 librarian, 1 laval stennon, 1 stardust and 1 rai-oh on field, with 2 raigeki break as back row and 2 cards in hand which 1 was gorz.

Vs. Wee Min, Inzektor - OXO

Game 1: Randomly controlled and kill

Game 2: Flooded the field, then killed by gorz, then i re-flood which he maxx c and scarecrow, but then he doesnt have another scarecrow next turn. Revenge is so sweet :D

Finals

Conspiracy... I dun even know who my opponent was.

The deck was copied from a Japanese player nicknamed "Tobi". And he was one of the strongest player during Junk Doppel era where you can see his name almost every week. While browsing I saw his name winning using Laval, then I checked his profile... He won 9 tournies using the exact same build, although some were small tournaments but their small tournament were at least 40 ppl unlike our weekly tournaments of 20-30 only. Laval is such a risky deck, I was so afraid that people side rivalry against me, but I did not met any (Guess I'm lucky). So, 9 tournies-winning deck have proven itself. Decklist below.

Match 1: Vs. Wesley, Inzektor - OO

Game 1: Ophion + Thunderbird peck to death

Game 2: He summon Dragonfly equipped with Hornet, I chalice and he chained lance and then I treat it to drink another cup of water from Chalice. Then next he set a monster, which I Nobleman of Crossout him  during my turn, and he chained CED to return, took all the damage from thunderbird and helio and I ended. He then set back the monster during his turn and I helped him CED back his monster and he ate the maximum damage again.

Match 2: Vs. Alvin Putra, Ninja Hieratics - OO

Game 1: Ophion and then Laggia

Game 2: He ate torrential while I have Ophion and Pandemic Contagion Infestation

Match 3: Vs. Rong Jie, Inzektor - XOO

Game 1: I ate solemn and he reborn and stuffs

Game 2: Ophion rape

Game 3: He set a card and ended, I MST and then summon Helio and attack. Set 4 card and ended during main phase 2. He then mst solemn judgment during his turn, and then Heavy Storm me which ate a Starlight Road. Then he summon Centipede equip it with Hornet and attack my Helios. I chain lance during damage step and draw veiler next turn and won.

Machu=Mach OTK

Putting aside geargia, now we shall look at the new number xyz in REDU:

Number 33: OOPArts Super Weapon - Machu=Mach

2 Level 5 monsters

Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; inflict damage to your opponent equal to the difference between its current ATK and original ATK, then this card gains ATK equal to the amount of damage inflicted.

This effect looks jank when reading, but combining with another jank card, it worked wonders althogether:

Minimum Guts

Tribute 1 monster you control to target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; that target's ATK becomes 0 until the End Phase. This turn, when that target is destroyed by battle and sent to the Graveyard, inflict damage to your opponent equal to its original ATK.

In order to otk, you need a monster with at least 1900 ATK

1900(eff)+4300(atk)+1900(guts)=8100

Dianzhang also made a video on it, different approach by using:

By using Gagaga girl and magician to xyz, you can target 1 monster and make its attack becomes 0, so as long as your opponent's ATK is at least 2800 (which is abit hard lol), you can otk with it.

2800(eff)+5200(atk)=8000

In this meta, most of the monsters are at least that amount of atk (except dragonfly), so it's quite easy to achieve the otk. You can also target tragoedia or gorz token since ??? is 0 at base. Pure OOPArts would play this I guess... Also, I have thrown away all the cards that I thought of no use in GAOV sets... :( This teaches me to keep every single card.... III's death shall not be wasted!

Then when he set the 2nd card I was praying I top draw 2nd MST and it came. So I MST both set cards, summoned dragonfly equip hornet and mantis, foolish Dragonfly and flood + kill.

Game 1: I flood and kill

Game 2: My dragonfly ate chain disappearance and then downfall from there

Game 3: The game started with all rabbits being banished by chain disappearance. And I had nothing and we stored until his field was 5 set cards, and mine was 2 set m/t and 2 rykos, my life was 1650 and his was 6800. He suddenly ran out of patience, raigeki break targetted my raigeki break, and I chained and managed to hit Starlight road! He then mind controlled my ryko and flipped using its effect targetting my 2nd ryko. Being afraid of cards like Verz thunderbird(because my life was just nice 1650) I chained Rivalry of warlords in response to its flip so that he can't summon anything other than beast. he then set 2 cards from his hand and ended, returning my ryko. During my turn, I drew gigamantis, together with storm and dragonfly. I activated storm and managed to clear everything and do hornet gigamantis otk.

Game 1: I booked of moon his atums and then next turn mind control, xyz into Gaia dragoon, flood with inzektors and kill lol, like what he ate during swiss

Game 2: We both had a lousy hand, and stored for a few turns, until I started to activate storm, he chained mind crush, checked my grave of 2 dragonfly with totally 0 centipedes, declared centipede. I showed him dragonfly, dropped his veiler from mind crush effect and flooded.

We shared the prize of atums and lavalval chain :D

Finally, I manage to touch a chain, although it was just half of it lol, we sold the atums for 40 back to the shopkeeper and splitted the money. Today's build was removing 1 of the autonomous and dark armed for an extra effect veiler and gruff. Having 3 gruff and 3 hornet makes me use allure of darkness with no regret lol. And every game I sided out 1 gruff for stuffs, maybe because I treated it like a Dark armed which I always side out during 2nd game. Last time my friends and I were making a joke about "falling sick always wins tourney". I think I should believe it lol as I have been coughing badly and flu for 5 weeks :(
